Xchange gives broadcasters and video professionals instant Web access to content and seamlessly connects users to their FORK Production servers for more traditional broadcast workflows. The latest version of Xchange features Workspaces, a new module for easily building and customizing the GUI based on how you need to work. Newly introduced, is project-centric workflows in Xchange – enabling users and teams to create, share and collaborate on post-production projects inside Xchange, or via the Xchange panel within Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Users can now organize raw footage, or final edited programs with different languages inside Adobe Premiere Pro, easily switching between proxy and high-res source material for effective remote editing.

VR/360 Asset Management
Xchange v5.5 includes support for new Equirectangular Virtual Reality/360 workflows by enabling the media playback, review, and Spatial/360 markers for highlighting areas of interest in a 360° space. Content inside Xchange can also be used in the Adobe Premiere Pro CC VR for editing, including previewing and output of playback-ready VR content.
Xchange v5.5 features Workspaces, a new module for easily building and customizing the Graphical User Interface(GUI) based on how you need to work. Add value to your content with the new module’s built-in metadata tagging engine that integrates with metadata sources such as Associated Press(AP)’s metadata platform for professionals to add accurate, comprehensive, richly detailed data, designed specifically for use by news publishers.
Project Centric Workflows
Users can now organize raw footage, or final edited programs with various languages within a single workspace, simplifying searching and automation. Workflow actions can now be triggered for entire projects, for example sending them to archive or automating transcode deliverables when production is complete. Users can also consolidate a project’s entire asset library with a new project export feature.
Xchange Suite v4.5 now brings the ability to download and import content, metadata and markers from Xchange into leading Non-Linear Editors, such as Apple® Final Cut Pro® X and Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC. Xchange 4.5 now features a built-in panel for Adobe Premiere Pro. Through an intuitive new interface, users can now quickly search the Xchange media asset database from within Premiere Pro, select media, and simply import those items into a Premiere Pro project. When an edited sequence is complete, users can export the project into a finished file, ready for distribution.
Mobile2Air® 3.0 is a major upgrade to the iOS app that seamlessly integrates remote field reporting with Primestream’s FORK™ Production Suite, and now seamlessly with Xchange. Mobile2Air 3.0 enables recording, uploading and reviewing of videos fast and securely from an iPhone® or iPad®. The update allows uploading and reviewing from anywhere across Mobile2Air and Xchange environments. Mobile2Air 3.0 integrates with Aspera’s FASP™ upload acceleration technology, the proven standard for the high-speed data transport.

FORK now offers broader support for 3rd party Traffic systems with solutions for metadata exchange between traffic, MAM and Automation. FORK v5.5 features an update to Live Assist, the award winning FORK module for control room playout, which now includes more control over trimming clips in a Live Assist rundown. The Simple Graphics Engine (SGE) enables the management of graphics with animations such as a station logo, lower third, and clock or next up.
